Paiwan and Rukai are blessed with the artistic gift among all the Aboriginal tribes in Taiwan, both clans have choose Pintung county in the southern Taiwanese. They have became the most beautiful and proud scene With their splendid traditional dress and personal adornment in Pindong, the building carving in totem that the peculiar magnificent dress is dazzling and sending out the fascinating atmosphere, most passengers that come to Pintung county are fascinated by the Paiwan and the Rukai clans by this rich different race atmosphere . Paiwan culture characteristic ：

The first impression that the Paiwan gives to somebody is the dress of Paiwan's culture with magnificent characteristic and exquisite craft. Paiwan clan demonstrate surprising aesthetic feeling with heavy and complicated line decorations , dark cloth embroider with bright yellow, red, green color, in a memorial ceremony for the clans. The Paiwan clan’s art are well known all aboriginals in Taiwan, from building to small hand crafts, the skillful art technique has become a bright symbol for all Paiwan tribe, such as wooden carving, pottery, colored glaze and weave cloth, there are decorations everywhere when visit the Paiwan tribes. |

Rukai culture characteristic ：

| The lily is a very important symbol for Rukai clan culture; it represented civil order and ethics. There are strict social norms to wear the lily, besides chiefs and nobles, only the woman of chastity and brave man are qualify to wear lily , and there is ceremony to purchase lily from chief, if woman was found to commit adultery with people after marriage or before marriage, will lose the qualification of wearing lily for one's life , and the big chief has the right to remove lily from someone who commit adultery as a punishment in the public occasion. It is Rukai clan’s culture characteristic to respect the clouded leopard, because of clouded leopard's legend lead the east Rukai clan to found good benefactor tea and to settled down, so the clansman never kills the clouded leopard, but clouded leopard's fur and tooth are exclusive ornaments for chiefs and noble men. |

| Every August the aboriginal of Pintung county holds a memorial ceremony for its harvest year , eight mountain region townships in Pintung county, except the township of Wutai being Rukai clans, the others were all the Paiwan clans, the ceremony were held by it’s own township annually, every year the ceremony has different ways to celebrate, currently the traditional bumper harvest festival were retain by Wutai countryside ,Thaiwu countryside –Thaiwu village, Laiyi countryside - Wenla village , Sandymon countryside - Sandymon village |

Rukai rock board lane：

| When visit Wutai countryside, the rock board lane is something too magnificent to miss. It was constructed with slab stone and pottery pot, since 1990 has attracted many visitors to experience the extraordinary or quite outstanding Rukai amorous customs. Stepping on the rock board lane is equal to stepping into Rukai people’s life, there are stone plank house, statue along the road, it is not the art piece from the museum , every little bit is all the clan's daily life, the visitors not only saw through the eyes, but can also enter the room , experience Rukai people's innate artistic gift, as well as the clan’s insistence on their own Rukai culture. Colored glaze pearl, with its ancient style appearance are fond by all the collectors including the international collectors. Researched and developed colored glaze style and line color , the recent innovated design are colorful and various and bright-colored, among them combine the modern ornaments of all kinds , such as earrings , hairpin , hand ring , cell-phone bag , ID card ,etc. The trend is going further with develop the colored glaze pearl and inlay painting for exhibit and sell in each large department store now.
