On September 1st, 1992, namely two months after the
National Tax Administration of Northern, Central and Southern
Taiwan Province were established the Taitung County Branch
was established along with other National Tax Administration
branches and offices in Taiwan. We first shared the same
office building with Taitung County Revenue Service Office.
Later, due to the extensive amount of applications and
the overcrowded office space, we received a grant from
the Executive Yuan in February 1996 for the construction
of an office building on Nation-owned Land No. 2-10, 1-179,
2-207 located on Taitung section, Taitung City. Tu, Neng-Yi
Architects & Associates was commissioned to design
and oversee the construction of the building in January
1999. The design was completed at the beginning of February
and the construction began on March 19th of the same year.
In January 2000 the construction was carefully examined
and accepted. Our office was moved into the building in
February, after picking an auspicious day. This building
is situated in a convenient location (at No. 1, Jhongshan
Road, near Taitung Forest Park and Mahengheng Boulevard.)
and provides our taxpayers with a pleasant environment,
which is truly an ideal place for the office.
